C'est la troisième fois cette année que la chanteuse fait étape en France avec son « As I Am Tour ». Elle s'était arrêtée une 1ère fois chez nous au printemps pour 4 concerts, puis était revenue en été pour 2 représentations. Les concerts de cet automne s'ajoutant aux 6 précédents, nous aurons eu la chance de voir Alicia Keys 9 fois en France cette année, ce qui est assez exceptionnel pour une artiste internationale de son envergure.

La représentation du samedi 25 octobre à Amnéville présente un caractère tout à fait particulier puisque c'est la 1ère fois qu'Alicia Keys s'est produit dans l'est de la France, dans un Galaxie qui peut, pour ce genre de concert, accueillir jusqu'à 12 000 personnes. Les fans lorrains ont répondus présents ainsi que les fans de Belgique, du Luxembourg et d'Allemagne.




Cette soirée a donc tenu toutes ses promesses avec un show de 4 heures. Une longue première partie a vu se succéder DJ I Roc, The Rulling Party (groupe de Rock New Yorkais), Jermaine Paul (le choriste de longue date d'Alicia Keys) et Solange, petite soeur de Beyoncé, pour faire la promotion de son nouvel album Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams.Ce dernier est imprégné de plusieurs styles musicaux, on y retrouve du R&B, de la Pop, du Hip-Hop et de la Soul. Un album qui a plutôt bien marché aux Etats-Unis puisqu'il est rentré directement à la 9e place dans les charts du Billboard 200 avec 46 000 exemplaires vendus dès la 1ère semaine.




La version remaniée et épurée du « As I Am Tour » qu'Alicia Keys présenta ce samedi soir mélange subtilement les titres de son dernier album et les tubes incontournables des années précédentes, dans des arrangements nouveaux et originaux qui s'éloignent un peu du « show » pour laisser la place à la vraie musique... les arrangements sont nouveaux et originaux et la chanteuse, ses choristes et ses musiciens prennent manifestement un grand plaisir à revenir aux sources du succès de Miss Keys.




Après une entrée fracassante sur « Go Ahead », Alicia a pris possession de la scène et n'a pas laissé une minute de répit au public pendant toute sa prestation. Le début du concert a pris parfois quelques accents rock puis s'est tourné selon les propres mots de la chanteuse vers le « Spanish Harlem » avec « Karma » pour aller ensuite se balader du côté du jazz avec « How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore ». Cette dernière chanson donne souvent lieu à quelques improvisations et il n'y a pas eu d'exception puisque l'interprétation de notre diva sur ce titre a duré plus de dix minutes !

Les tubes se sont ensuite enchaînés « Superwoman », « Unbreakable », « A Woman's Worth », chantée tout spécialement pour les femmes de la salle (et pour les hommes qui savent reconnaître une superwoman, a-t-elle dit) ou « Like You'll Never See Me Again », parmi d'autres, ont permis au public d'apprécier les multiples facettes du talent d'Alicia Keys.

Jermaine Paul a comme à son habitude fait des merveilles sur « Diary ». Les choristes ont montré leur talent époustouflant et les musiciens, pour la plupart complices de longue date de la chanteuse, ont parfaitement accompagné tout ce petit monde.

Complice avec le public, répétant « Metttsss » (Metz !) à de nombreuses reprises, elle se risque même à quelques mots de français prononcés avec un accent charmant.

« Fallin' » est arrivé pour conclure la soirée, suivi par un « No One » tonitruant. « If I Ain't Got You » a mis un terme à une soirée magnifique. Alicia Keys a remercié le public sans qui, a-t-elle dit, elle n'aurait pas été sur cette scène. Mais c'est à nous de lui dire un énorme « Merci ! » et de souhaiter qu'on puisse la revoir bientôt.
